The Canonization of Brother Andre
                                   ------ ------ ------
The Downtown Chapel is happy to announce the upcoming cannonization of Blessed Brother Andre Bessette, C.S.C., the first member of the Congregation of Holy Cross to be named a saint. As a parish community of hope and healing, we model our ministries after Brother Andre, physically opening our doors daily to the needs of others - responding to that need with our prayers and hospitality. Reflecting on the announcement, a parishioner recently commented:
"We've come to know Brother Andre
here at the doors of the Downtown Chapel."
Our community will be planning events around his canonization on October 17, 2010, so please stay tuned. Fr. Ron is also writing an article, 'Saint Doorkeeper', for the September issue of Celebrate! Magazine.
